272L (71G) Lake Tanganyika Stocking Help

Hello, I am back :) Sorry for the absence. I've been looking, searching and thinking about what I want to do with my tank and I think I've figured it out! I really like the Altolamprologus Calvus, specially the black pearl colour pattern, and I want my aquarium to focus around them. I've been...

Okay so I´ve done some digging and I'm actually pretty hooked on the Lake Tanganyika Biotope! While I do find plants really nice, I guess I'll have to live without a dense vegetation :) I've already decided on some fish, however as far as i can read they should be kept in pairs. I've thought...

Well lake Tanganyikan fish looks really nice and i could see myself doing this. A bit of a shame of the very little amount of plants however (also not really a fan of shelldwellers, as i have a phobia of snails, so the shells creep me out haha). I will look into Sri Lanka and Myanmar (Probably...

Yeah thats what i thought. Well its a shame, my options have really been limited now. Most of the fish I want require soft water sadly. Think i might need to get an osmosis plant or something

So i checked with my local aquarium shop. They told me all their fish are raised and have adapted to regular tapwater in my area and that they will do fine, as they are breed in captivity and are not wild. I have no idea if this is true or not, but they told me that i should not worry. Is this...

Hmm what could i do? This is of course tap water. Is there no way i can buy water or do something to change it? sorry very new to all this. Again it might be wrong. I've had an aquarium years ago when i was a kid. Were i had Tiger Barbs, Corydoras, Plecos, Neon Tetras and platies.
