Just leave the lights off for a few hours and let him relax.  He will start to explore and get settled down.   Next time you do the acclimation you should look into the drip method with some air line tubing and hopefully you didn't put the store water in the new tank.

It's unfortunate but you may want to give Nessie his own permanent tank.  Build that tank around Nessie and what's compatible to him or maybe a solo tank.   Your other buddies may get hurt more severally especially if the people who responded to your post previously are saying that.  They are...
