About two years ago, I was on here asking advice about getting a fish tank and early setup. Two years on I still love my white Fluval Edge 46litre and am very fond of my little fishies (tropical).
On a trip to M.A in the New Year for fish seeing all the tanks laid out rather made me have the...
Hi I'm planning New gravel, plants and pebbles in my Edge to replace the current decor. I was planning to put my current three fish in a bucket with the heater running whilst I work on the tank
I was wondering how much of the old water I would need to keep- it will be a good opportunity to do a...
Hello,
I have a Fluval Edge 46L been up and running about 2 or 3 months with fish now post fishless cycling. However, I have noticed I have developed little brown spots all over my silk plants. See Picture. At first I thought it might be that sometimes the fish going to the loo and the fish...
I use them. I bought them after suffering an attack of cloudy water straight after starting my tank.
I put one or two in the tank itself and it dissolves and stick one or two into the filter. It's an expensive pot but the pot lasts a while - I put them in post water change.
I wasn't sure if I should feed them once a day or twice? I know it's a pinch.
I haven't given them anything as yet.
The cardinals come out to play every now and again but seem to like to hide behind the plants when I'm about. One of them refuses to come out at all.
The mollies are just...
I should think so, they are baby ones I assume as they are so teeny tiny; I can't actually see two of the 4 of them right now. Must be totally hidden in the foliage.
Yep busy day.
There were some nice fighters there and I was eyeing up a dark bluey red one and a bluey green one. We'll see...
Well I went to MA Wembley today and I got the first of my fish.
I got 4 cardinals (I assumed 6 together but he said get another two later) and 2 silver mollys which I had no intention of getting but I just loved the silver gleam which i knew would contrast very nicely with my tank.
It's...
Yes, typo - bloodworm - I heard it's a good treat for the fish - yes freeze dried, well rated on Amazon as was the TPC which I think you can feed to all fish not just tetra so I could give to my Betta I'm sure. I also have some standard tropical fish flakes.
I'll let you know how I get on...
I decided to give it a miss yesterday. Instead I went Amazon shopping and I bought the Superfish Nano Heater 50W as recommended by RCA and also before I got the E50 Fluval I heard that was good but the heater I have was bundled with tank and was higher value though he did offer me others instead...
Interesting - so you run your tropical fish at 29 - that's only 0.5 of a degree less than mine is set on - and yours are fine?. Once I've finished my housework I'm going to see if I can take my heater apart and do anything to fix it though I doubt it.
So you guys think it will be ok to put the...
Hope people in this forum will have some handy 'fix it tips'.
I have the Fluval E series 50w heater. I hiked up the temp to 29.5C for fishless cycling. Cycle finished so did a big water change yesterday in preparation to go buy fish today. Also needed to drop temp to say 26C.
But the lever...
Yes, it's been sitting happily on 29.5 since last night screen is green to show it's keeping a constant termperature.
No I am not having much luck; problem is my weekends for the next few weeks are going to be busy and I don't know that I'd have time to go fish shopping.
I heard the...
