When I had my betta I went through 3 heaters. They all kept malfunctioning, including the Eheim one I had.

I haven't recently tested the water but I'll do that. I have live plants and sand. Any ideas for something that would do good in harder water and no heater? Will shrimp be good?

But the weird thing is it moves separately! So it's not his actual shell. He literally doesn't stop moving, eating and pooping lol. He poops more in a day than my betta does in 3 days haha

This is probably a dumb question but I was looking closely at my snail and there's like a star shaped part coming out of the shell. I can't tell if it's part of the snail or if it's something else living in the shell? I tried googling pictures of snails and didn't see it on other close up of snails.
