I can not remember what brand of filter I have. I normally keep the box or some kind of documentation, but apparently I didn't. Been scouring the pet website. (I'm in the US) Can't figure it out. Please help. I've got a bad back right now so climbing under the fish tank to unplug things and...

So I just discovered that my fish filter. It's a Tetra. Has been leaking (where the plug end is). A slow leak isn't so slow anymore. I have a bucket catching the water, but I need to go buy a filter today. It's also caused some water damage to my stand (I don't know yet if it will survive)...

It's on plastic. Scrubby pads don't make a dent in it.

So I have a 20 gal tank. Not new. We live in a very hard water area. How do you clean up hard water stains from around the top rim of the tank, tank lid, outside of filter,etc. I know cleaners aren't safe. I want to know how others do it. It gets so thick. White crusty film.

Mating Dance?? Can someone please explain in more detail? I've never seen this since I am new to fish & have only had females. Some of my platy fry (2 months) do a sort of dance that seems strange to me, but so far they both appear to show as females. Any ideas?
