    Tank Question tank bowing slightly

Here is what I did. I emptied the tank half way and it did relieve the bow in the tank. I used 2 x 4 with metal strapping on the top with corner brackets on the ends. I placed these 2 feet apart. I think this will work for now.

    Tank Question tank bowing slightly

I appreciate all the advice. I think I will try the rebar on the top. I am in my fifties and have severe health problems that have hit me these last few months and doing a full tear down on a aquarium this size is not at all possible. I have no one to help me with this tank anymore or the funds...

    Tank Question tank bowing slightly

The tank is on 2 inch thick boards on top of Mason bricks on a cement floor. There isn't any gaps under it at all. It's a very solid foundation.

    Tank Question tank bowing slightly

Slightly bowing tank. I have decided to add a brace on this big tank. It's off by a 1/4 inch in center. Didn't notice until I tried to get a top for it. This is a old tank,,, maybe twenty plus years and I rebuilt. It's been up and going for a year now and no issues. Except it's bowing slightly...

    He's still alive!!!

Two years later my fish.. we happily name "My name is Jeff " lol... Is still going strong. He's got scars, only one eye and no tail but he's a fighter. Here is the original post. https://www.fishforums.net/threads/severely-injured-goldfish.482098/ This is him now.

    Water level question

i measured it all the way down, no bowing at all, and when I resealed the tank last year I used ASI tank sealant which has a high pressure load for up to 750 gallon tanks. Also let it cure for three weeks and sit with water in for two weeks before putting fish in. Still, I will have to empty it...
