Female Bristlenose having a pea for tea.

Nope. I just put them in raw from the can. They strip the shell off easily enough and they rasp on them as they are. They'll all be gone in the morning apart from the shells, so I assume they are able to get through them. They go mad for them as soon as I put them in. Does blanching them make...

How does a Tetra know it is a Tetra.

Ahhhh, that's making more sense. I wonder if my baby swords growing up in my community tank with a lot of gupps and mollies will be species confused. Oh, This wine seems to have got the better of me.

How does a Tetra know it is a Tetra.

If I was unable to look at myself and never seen a reflection of myself, would I feel at home in a field of cows or would I instinctively know that ain't right? I'm guessing I would just know that I don't feel like a cow.

How does a Tetra know it is a Tetra.

Yeah, but when they look at another fish and think, oh, he looks like me. How does he know what himself looks like. For all he knows he could look like jaws and nothing like the other tetra. I mean he's never had a mirror, and even if he did, would he know that what he sees in the mirror is him...

How does a Tetra know it is a Tetra.

So a Tetra will school with a Tetra, but not with a guppy. Question, how does it know it is the same as those other tetras. They surely don't know what they look like. Any thoughts. Thanks Graha

    Eggs On Glass

Just out of interest, here's one of my angels laying eggs yesterday. She ate them all within half an hour as her partner angel didn't seem to want to fertilize. I have a feeling they're both female. The white spot on the right is a Nerite egg.

    Juwel Bioflow Filter M

Sorry about resurrecting an old thread. Make sure you vacuum out the bottom of the hole that houses the heater. I skipped mine in maintenance and it clogged up stopping the water flow past the heater. My tank was down to 23 this morning. A big glug of black stuff came out in the syphon. If you...

What type of algae is this?

I reckon I have about 400, (no exaggeration, they're everywhere) either alive, dead or growing mini Ramshorns in my 120L. I'm trying to starve the population down to manageable numbers but my fish think their stomachs have been cut off.
