Help Please - What To Feed Cpd Fry?

Cooledwhip - I would not ship fish. But would be happy to give some away for local pick up! I'm in SC.    I fed them some egg yolk yesterday - I think it worked some what. I saw some of the fry darting through the cloud and could see yellow going into their bellies.I will try again tonight.   I...

Help Please - What To Feed Cpd Fry?

No I am down to about 10 shrimp in the 10 gallon. Used to have a lot more. I think the CPDs were eating all the baby shrimp, which is one reason I moved them out to see if the shrimp could recover or not. Egg yolk - I will try that and see how it does. Thanks!

Help Please - What To Feed Cpd Fry?

A week ago I moved my shoal of celestial pearl danios to a different tank. I went on vacation for a week and just returned to find a large number of fry swimming around the tank from which I removed the adults! The only other residents in there are cherry shrimp. This tank has a large amount of...

    Angelfish Tank Mates?!

I have a mated pair of angels (mature) with Rasoboras, Rummy Nosed Tetras, Zebras, and Neon Tetras. I bought the angels when they were young, so I think that helped with the fact that they do not consider the smaller fish to be food. They grew up with them around. I have never seen them go after...

    36 Gallon Angelfish Advice Please

Great advice, Byron. I ignorantly lucked into having a mated pair of angel fish in my 40 gallon 3-foot wide tank. I bought a solitary angel, and then a month later added another, and they paired up and mated. They get along very well and mate every 10 days or so. They also get along with the...

Need Help Selecting A Canister Filter

I owned a Fluval 205 that ran for about a year and a half and developed a leak from the lid that I could not fix (replacing gasket, etc.). So I bought a Fluval 206, and it ran for over a year, and developed the exact same problem. I kept the gaskets lubed properly, and tried replacing them, but...

Diy Fish Feeding Ring - Wide Diameter

Hi all,   It has been a while since I posted - but I am getting back into producing more fish videos. A few weeks ago I created a DIY fish feeding ring for my two large angel fish. Today I created this video showing how it was done. I hope someone finds it helpful. Thanks!  ...

    Very Thin Celestial Pearl

Three plus months later - the skinny little fish fully recovered. It was a very slow process. I actually can't tell her apart from the other females that are of a similar size. So this story had a good outcome.

Small Fish For 10 Gallon, High Ph Cherry Shrimp Tank?

An update on this old thread. The seven Celestials that I added to the tank in March are all still doing very well in the shrimp tank - they seem to be thriving - their colors are spectacular. The emaciated one that I worried about slowly recovered and gained weight. The CPDs are a great...

    Foul Tank Smell

The worst smell I ever had come out of a tank I would notice when doing water changes. It turned out to be an artificial ornament (large, fake driftwood) that I had added. I removed the ornament and the tank stopped smelling. Just something to consider.

    Live Cam - Angels Mating...march 9, 2015, 9:15 Pm Est

I think my tank is just too crowded for the angels to feel safe enough to allow the eggs to develop. And, yes, the lights coming on makes it worse. I suppose next time they mate I could leave the light off for a couple days and see if that helps. I don't really have a gradual light option at...

    Sand And Ph Experiment

Interesting post, Akasha. Based on the colors there I'm guessing that was pH 6.0, 6.4 and 7.0, left to right! I have been doing a similar experiment on an empty 6.6 gallon tank I have. I am trying to determine the proper level of crushed coral in the substrate to maintain a pH of 7.0. My tap...
