no... first fish tank, no idea what that means yet

no it's really hard, it comes off with a razor blade

it's under water all over the walls of the inside of the tank. which is why it doesn't make sense for it to be something like calcium build up

I just got my first fish tank for Christmas and I've set it all making sure to wash everything, even the tank, before setting it up and putting the gravel, plants, and features in. I have a filter for my tank and I treated the water as directed and now there seems to be calcium build up...
