Never buy fish as charity buys.  You'll eventually end up with a lot of dead fish, especially if they're impulse buys or if you don't know much about fish.

A good rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per 1 gallon of tank water.  You might want to be careful to not add too many fish.

Goldfish should never be bought without the understanding of the work that it takes to keep them.  The first thing you need to do is make a water change with dechlorinated water.  It will do no good if the water doesn't have conditioner in it.  I recommend Prime brand water conditioner, it's...
