Hey all So the whole issue first started about 5 months ago and I have currently removed well over 2 dozens of snails. If it turns out you do have ammonia in the tap water you can prepare the water for the water change 1 day before and add some pothos to it. Pothos is very good at absorving nitrogenous waste and especially ammonia so you should have 0 ammonia after that There are also other plants that can work...

They do look like cory eggs to me too. But after 1 week the gourami or the cories themselves should have snacked on them, they should have grown fungus and/ or they should have hatched as @essjay . Definitely. Some of the bacteria would be dislodged and fall. Just do it directly in your moms media and not in the water to help them a bit. If you have a way (cercamic media etc.) adding some of the media from the maintank to the small will definitely help
