    I bought a loach

I wish. I forget what this one is called. It is dark grey (gray?) and is about two inches long. Looks like a worm with a mustache.

    Steel blue killifish

Nice looking fish too. It is always a thrill when they hatch and new life comes forth. I think most of my fish are live bearers....not that I have actually seen them bearing....most of the time I am just watching the tank and realized, I have babies swimming about. Good times. Thanks...

    I bought a loach

Then, as soon as I put it into the tank, it disappeared and I had not seen it for close to two months. I figured it just died and that was it. And then one day, I realized that it had turned my little volcano aerator into a home and he comes out occasionally and he looks very healthy. But...

Vote Now - 2020 TANK OF THE YEAR POLL

This was not easy. I came in cold and scrolled down, admiring all of them and at some point I just selected one. But there was not a clear winner in my opinion. Great work with your tanks...all of you.

    My Humble 20 Gallon

Can't say I blame you for your opinions on the colored gravel. It does kind of look....unnatural, over time it is being reduced through adding other stuff and losing a little bit every time I clean, apparently I don't do a full clean often enough, cause that is still a lot of colored gravel...

    My Humble 20 Gallon

Thank you. I was an Army Dog, but my youngest is a Marine so of course I gotta be all motto about it. Yes, I put a pretty good sized aerator through the Volcano, it has so much stuff growing on it, it almost has it's own tropical ecosystem, I did recent near full change out and vacuumed the...

    55g Rebuild

Sometimes it is nice to catch a thread late because I get see and read about the the journey and your process after your loss. I just barely headed off a problem by quickly doing a water change out, no losses since I did that....I had 5 Platy's and one Cory go belly up. I had clues beforehand...

    My future...

What is up with Nephews? My boys are good to go but man, my brothers two boys would rather stay at home until dad croaks and then...what? Sigh......kinfolk.

    My Humble 20 Gallon

As you can see the Platy's have been very procreative. Those represent two batches and two generations, the 1st generation have already went to the happy fish food land. He hides in the ship wreck but my algae sucker fish is about 5 inches long now, he has a smaller buddy I bought for him...

    My future...

Sorry for my horrible English...I was hitting the port and watching a football game. No sir, I am not Navy, I received my training via the U.S. Army. I was hired as a Lab Director because I had 32 years of calibration experience. But....all services go to the same school for calibration and...

    My future...

Well, if you decide to get your degree and then get your commission, I look forward to seeing you here at the Naval Postgraduate School, they have some nice masters programs here to include oceanography related classes perhaps not freshwater but you if you become a seal, then hey...should be...
