I'm hoping to get a larger tank a bit later on. He is about 5 inches now, so I have a little bit of time to upgrade.

Yes, he's a blue eye Panaque. Right now he is about 5 inches. The tank he is in is 4'x20"x2'. Ideally I would like a larger tank, but I figure I have a little time to talk my husband into that. Bigger is always better where tanks are concerned.

Thank you. How on earth am I going to get a look at his/her anal vent? Is there a way to do this without stressing the fish out or taking them on a date?

This is "Black Spot" he/she is smaller than "Big Red", doesn't bother plecco and is getting picked on by other fish he was kept with...This is the dominant fish in that scenario. I thought she (?) was the one who layed the eggs on the head decoration. This one doesn't give the plecco any grief...

Will post pictures of other 3 fish when I get back from LFS. Need to buy that stuff to keep bacteria away from eggs. May be too late, as they are fuzzy. Horrible picture, I know. He bites me when I try to move the head to get a better angle. Any advice appreciated.
