Hello, A snail has been hanging around for a few weeks now. It came in on a plant and has since grown a fair bit. I’ve left it in there as it seems to help clean up. It’s the only snail in the tank. Can you help me identify it? Will it breed and should it be removed? Thanks

Hello - can someone advise on these greenish patches on the sand please? The patches come up every morning. Bear in mind the sand was “hoovered” less than 24 hours ago. Is it something that will spread / needs to be treated? Tested water today and all is fine. Thanks

Maybe the hood is bent or the tank is warped? Surely not after 4 days?

I’ve had the Ciano 60 (57L) filled with water and substrate in place for about 4 days. The lid was loose on the top so I could adjust the placement of the filter etc. Having now clipped the lid onto its hinges it won’t close properly as if it doesn’t fit. What do you think could cause this? Hope...

Thanks for your help so far - I've been otherwise occupied but am back to setting up. LFS says the water is GH10 and KH12. I have the API test kit and my pH is about 7.2. Would those numbers raise any concerns? I am beginning fishless cycle soon. :good:

Thanks for your help so far. The Water Hardness is Average of Ca: 39.36; Average of Mg: 6.78 if that makes sense? The dimensions of the tanks are L60 x W30 x H33.5 cm. Regarding plants, I will have a few slow growing. I'll get a water testing kit soon. Would the water hardness need adjusting...

Hi I am new to the hobby and have just purchased a 57L tank. I’m hoping to gradually build to something like: 6 panda corys 4 or 5 guppies 2 or 3 amano shrimp Maybe 1 nerite snail Probably sand substrate. Does that sound reasonable and any tips on plants? Cheers.
