Hi guys, I want to setup my vision 180 as an Mbuna tank when i move into my new house
Currently i have a fluval 206 which i think would struggle so i dont know wether to add another 206 or just get a 406, also on 2 filter setup whats the best placement for intakes and outakes.
I have sand...
tap water can contain phosphates and nutrients that could be feeding algae when you do a big water change also get a digital timer for the lights i do 4 hours then 3 hour break then another 4
probably lights off for a few days will bring it under control
tnc carbon from the nutrient company 1ml per 50l i use 4ml in a 180L so double would be 8ml
you can also remove any ornaments, rocks tank equipment and brush tnc carbon on them with a new paintbrush and leave it for say an hour or soak them in bleach but using bleach you will have to rinse them...
Used to have a great selection of tropical, cold and marine fish but recently had a refurb i didn't see any notice prior to but when i went for fish they had removed all livestock. After the refurb i found that they have got rid of the marine section condensed the dry goods and used half of the...

Well to revive an old thread, i bought 2 x new tubes as mine were due to be changed (t8 juwel day glo and warm) and when i swapped them over to my hacked juwel light canopy they flickered for a second as though they were starting and then nothing.. i put it an old tube and a new one and it...
A spray bar will tame a filter that is too powerful, but unless you may be upgrading to an even bigger tank don't get too caught up
I like the fluval range because they've been good to me and i haven't had any problems i think the APS even do a uv filter one for around the fluval price
If...
I too have wooden floor and i just drained 3/4 of the water and lifted/slid my old 100l across to the other side of the room. I didn't take fish or anything out though - i think as long as you can move the cabinet without pulling it so there's no friction ie against the carpet then no problem...
Hmm, you know i respect that you have sensibly plotted the best way forward in terms of a review section to

pitfalls and legal proceedings that have ensued before with other forums - makes...
what utter rubbish - my post was to inform people of shops in the area to make people aware of them, as i'm still finding ones i didn't know about, and also to tell people what sort of stuff they have there eg massive collection of fish or loads of equipment or a lovely big display tank in the...
I got this dirt cheap from wilkinsons - so it was the price that did it for me its simple and natrual looking and rounded certainly not sharp. I have it in my daughters tank though tbh i've gone sand and wouldn't look back - i think the main thing with the substrate is that it should not...
