sorry. i wasnāt clear. i was talking about putting snails in my north american native river fish tank. i used to put guppy fry in floating - save the babies containers- now i canāt keep doing that. that tank has too nany fish in it already. hopefully the babies make it on their own. š
i donāt feed guppy fry to predator fish. they are in an all guppy tank. i continue to provide Hikari First Bites fry food. i know the adult guppies could eat them, but the tank is well planted and there is space below an internal filter in horizontal form for hiding.
i was shocked to find a patch of snail eggs the size of a small dinner plate in my guppy aquarium!
do you think goldfish eat bladder snails? i transfer some snails to the goldfish tank- but it looks like the number in there goes down.
hmmmš§
okay. i might squish bladder snails in my amano shrimp tank. tried a new brand of shrimp food- Fluval shrimp granules. they are bigger. my shrimp arenāt eating, but guess who is eating. the Snails. ughh.
going back to Hikari shrimp food. and i may start squishing snails. š but my amanos are too...
my experience with mystery snails is sad. donāt know what i did wrong, but tried 3 times to have a mystery snail. all 3 died- not graciously either. their insides were outside, almost puked.
sorry š
thanks. i did move a lot to the guppy 20 gallon tank that is a lot of work and i would like to down size. i do over feed i guess. i stopped āsavingā newly hatched guppies. i could put some in my native north american fish- they eat them. anyone want guppies. ughhš¬
wow- can i just fly you over here ?š
thank you for the help. i did read that ammonia levels can cause red gills. along with ammonia fish are at the top of the tank. which was happening. i bought a new sponge filter to go along with Fluval 4, which should clean 40-50 gallons. plus a medium size...
