Tank is 101cm x 41cm x 50cm. I do gravel cleans and 20/25% water changes at least once a week. Ha, well the only male boesmani around here I've seen have been under 2 inches, which I think the female boesmani and male lacustris would end up bullying!

My bad, I'm terrible at estimating. Used a ruler and she's more like 3 inches. Even if it is a male, I'm still intrigued by the black vertical stripes.

Thats exactly what threw me off in the first place, thought she was a turquoise on the shop because she was so dark and blue. Can't put a picture on as this tank was set up to be viewed from both sides - I'll get some duckweed today :) made a little floating ring out of air tube.

Is this female Boesmani a hybrid? The video doesn't do it justice, but she goes like completely dark blue when laying eggs.

I'll pass on the salt just because I know corys aren't great with salt (or so I've heard). Thanks for the info - she's a lovely fish so I'll gladly keep her if she shows that she's happy.

Have you had much experience with hybrids? I'd be worried it won't settle down with the lacustris and praecox. Hopefully it'll end up calming down over night.

Tank will have been up and running for a month tomorrow! I insta cycled with old tank media and stuff (I made sure to quadruple check before adding fish). Tank has loads of algae and the Otos are keeping it in check, though I find they tend not to focus on the algae just above the substrate...

Okay - would you say go with a trio of Kutubus and increase the number of Praecox then? I would be worried of the bigger turquoises being intimidating to a small school of praecox. I have activated carbon in the filter and recently added one of those Purigen pouches (I know this isn't a fix-all...
