As the title says, should I remove the carbon filter when using a dechlorinator solution? I know carbon removes chlorine slowly, but I wasn't sure whether the carbon will also remove the dechlorinator?   Thanks Danny

Maybe they are just skin agitation from something in the previous tank or in yours. A salt dip might not be a bad idea, only slow salinity though as Corys are not too salt friendly. Then again, if they arent getting worse, maybe just monitor them for now? I prefer to buy locally bred fish when...

Hard to see anything wrong really, but, it's best to medicate the single fish if possible. Meds in tanks can cause a whole load of trouble you weren't expecting.

Dunno about the snails, but keep in mind that the success in medicating fish is largely dependant on detecting the illness soon enough and taking appropriate action quickly. There is also the issue of stressing an already stressed fish by adding chemicals to the water, moving to quarantine...
