    Last Day On Earth :-(

True, it may be it has reached the end of it's unnatural life. It's just odd because one day it was happy as larry, next day it's had it.   I'm aware of peak, wood and RO, but for such a small tank how can I lower the PH without it costing a lot? RO is a lot of money for such a small amount...

    Thermometer Placement

Thanks for the replies people, guess my own conclusion was pretty standard then. All I need to do now is work out why I never received any mail from fishforums alerting me to this post update.   Thanks

    Thermometer Placement

Hi,   Seems no one discusses this, maybe because it's unimportant or obvious, but I was wondering where to stick my thermometer (no rude replies) :-)   I figured it should be furtherest away from my heater and as low as possible, but my tanks only a square 10 gallon, so think it's not going to...

Do I Remove Carbon Filter When Using A Dechlorinator

As the title says, should I remove the carbon filter when using a dechlorinator solution? I know carbon removes chlorine slowly, but I wasn't sure whether the carbon will also remove the dechlorinator?   Thanks Danny

    Sich Schwartzi Cory

Maybe they are just skin agitation from something in the previous tank or in yours. A salt dip might not be a bad idea, only slow salinity though as Corys are not too salt friendly. Then again, if they arent getting worse, maybe just monitor them for now? I prefer to buy locally bred fish when...

    Possible White Spot

Hard to see anything wrong really, but, it's best to medicate the single fish if possible. Meds in tanks can cause a whole load of trouble you weren't expecting.

    Ich & Snails

Dunno about the snails, but keep in mind that the success in medicating fish is largely dependant on detecting the illness soon enough and taking appropriate action quickly. There is also the issue of stressing an already stressed fish by adding chemicals to the water, moving to quarantine...

    Strange Platy Behaviour

Remember to continue treatment for at least seven days from first treatment day. If its the meds I've used it's every other day you add the medication to the tank.

    Does My Guppy Look Normal?

Hi, Looks like it could be swim-bladder! As fluttermoth rightly stated, peas would be the next step in order to aid bowel movement. Hopefully he's still feeding. If you have trouble getting him to feed, maybe move him to his own tank to feed him. Does he have trouble pooping? If so have you...
