I've repurposed some suction cups from other hob filters and used them for the spray bar. I thought it was just the hard water in my area. I did see some people complaining that the fluval plastic breaks above the seal gasket so I've been hesitant.
My eheim 2213 is over 10 years old and the motor can't seem to keep up anymore. Can anyone recommend a good alternative. I have a 40g tank. Fish: 1 angel, assorted scissor tails and corys. I would prefer a canister type. Thanks.
I have an Eheim 250 that I purchased in 2014. I've been having problems with the ceramic shaft. My old one broke and the newer ones seem to be slightly longer than the original. So the last 2 have broken after a short period of time. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can use instead...
I've had several snails and this is the first time this has happened. I did turn him over and tried to open the 'hatch' [each day] but he pulled it closed, no bubbles.
So for the past week or so I've found my snail floating around the aquarium. He's still alive but doesn't seem to be moving around a lot. I've placed him under a branch just to hold him in place and he does move from that spot. However in the morning I find him floating again. Today I put him in...
I'll throw in my 2 cents. I have a 40g and had 2 angels for a few years. They seemed to get along. One died and the 2nd did fine with corys, tetras, rasboras. She lived over 5 years but died recently. I'll probably stay with just 1 angel.
I don't believe you did anything wrong. I've used seachem prime for years and you can't easily overdose with prime. I just use the bottle cap as a measure. I do 50% water changes weekly and unplug the heater but leave the filter running. I don't even check the water temp, just make sure the temp...
Your post is interesting to me because I've had similar issues with 'natural' treatments. The sentence "... (all my local fish stores struggle with it to varying degrees). is an issue. I have a quarantine tank set up and I would recommend that you set one up since you have problems when adding...
Wrapping your tank would be a good idea. With the cooler temperature the fish might not be so active so I would feed minimally. In my experience cooler temperatures are easier for the fish to handle than too warm.
How long has the tank been set up for? > 20+ years (obviously not with the same substrate, fish, etc) this particular setup is about 3 years old. this veil-tail angel is the last fish added about 1 year ago.
Have you cleaned the filter recently? > canister filer cleaned 3 weeks ago
Do you...
