Thanks for all the replies. If that tank is too small why do all the pet stores advertise bettas and gold fish in 1 gallon tanks? 2.5 gallons is 250% larger than they suggest. Also in my previous attempts I had bettas that lived just fine in 1 gallon tanks, but died when I had to leave them...
I'm thinking about trying to keep a fish again with a 1 - 2.5 gallon aquarium. My main concern is the ability to be able to leave the fish alone for 5 - 10 days and not come home and have it dead. What are the best fish that have the ability to be alone, of course with plenty of...
I won't be getting another one for atleast 3 months. I will be away for work several weeks at a time so I no point and getting another new fish at this point.
I give up no more fish for me. I was watching him and he was swimming around fine then all of a sudden he goes to the bottom turns sides ways and never comes back up :(
I have a betta and he has also been a picky eater but now he is compeletly refusing to eat anything. When I first got him he liked the pellets then one day he just started refusing to eat them and only wanted the flakes. He was eating the flakes fine for about 10 weeks but starting 2 weeks ago...
There is a top but it broke about 3 weeks back and there is about a half inch gap. I don't know how he could have reached the gap either since there is about an two inches of space between the water line and gap. I've looked and looked and I sure can't find the little bugger.
Can african dwarf frogs live out of water? My dwarf frog that was in the same tank as my small betta is missing. I can't accept the fact that the betta ate the from so he must have jumped out of the tank? Is it possible for them to live outside of water? Thanks
He is floating at the top but he is fighting to go to the bottom but gets pushed up like he is less bouyant than the water. I change the water ever 5 to 6 days and do not use air stones. The tank is 2 or 3 gallon starter. There is a betta in the tank as well.
About 5 weeks ago I got an African Dwarf Frog to go with my betta. The last two days it seems that he can not stay at the bottom of the tank without help. He tries to go to the bottom but just floats back to the top unless he gets under a rock or something else. Is this normal or is something...
First I never shouted anything.
Second I never bashed or attacked anybody. In fact I was the only one attacked in this thread.
Third I never said I was pissed at you guys; I was pissed at my self for listening to you.
I never said it wasn't my responsiblity but the original repliers need to take responsibilty as well. It just like going to a doctor for advice, its his responsibility to give good advice.
