i love my salvini my sometimes has a lovely blue glow mines a good 6" gets on with all tank mates quite friendly really , mines really fat lol keep thikin  it might cross breed with something in the tank as its really fat lol

I think with cichlids its trial and error they all have there own personality

at the min he is in my 2.5 ft hospital tank.

I used to have 3 clowns for over 7 years , they used  to fight some nights when the lights went off and all you could here was loud clickin noises

ive tanked mine apart a few times I have 3 t5 tubes in mine on always works fine , I think I have a earth problem somewhere my tank is a good 8 years old , if I rub the tubes with both hands and touch gound bare food lol they turn on

hes a bit of a bully only picks on some of my fish so now he is on a tank of his own hes about 4" , tried a firemouth of similar size , he killed it , tried a port arca he killed it , I have a flowerhorn im debateing where to try its a bit smaller , I love my mayan hes a murderer thou

tbh the salvin looks like a keeper looks to be very calm and and after reading up males are larger 6 " max , id say he is about 5" , its the mayen im not sure about he is not been aggressive but all the fish seem to be a bit scared and keep away from it , it reminds me of my archer fish i used...
