Nope, I have large river stones in the bottom so the tank does not really get that dirty. So you are saying I should just ignore the PH for the most part after and before water changes?

Thanks for all the information. I have one more question: One of the neon’s has one red gill. It has been red for quite some time and I am wondering if this is or could be a developing problem?

Would ta bloated fish have a lumpy look?
