    Ick treatment in nursery aquarium

You might try salt - 1 tablespoon per 2 gallons. Live bearers can tolerate salt well and at least for me salt was an effective treatment for ick.

What is the difference between m . festivus and m. mirificus ?

Yea. I think that is why i am asking; if they are like angles they are not going to be very peaceful once adults. seriouslyfish and other sources describe them as peaceful and pairs will break away and then rejoin the shoal; but my experience with angles - at least in a 4 foot tank - is anything...

What is the difference between m . festivus and m. mirificus ?

A store is offering tank raised festivus and wild mirificus and i'm curious if there is much difference between the two species. Also how many should be kept together. I was thinking 8 in my 120 (moving them to a 400 in a year) but not sure if they are like angels where they shoal as youngsters...

    Repashy Soilent Green

    Mommy with her precious

    Treating ill clown loaches

Laying no their side in a fashion that is not normal. It is almost certianly either ick or velvet from my searching of descriptions. I'm leaning towards velvet - but it doesn't really fit either. It is very fine sugar but not yellow - more white. Here is a third picture:

    Treating ill clown loaches

My clown loaches have picked up ick and are not doing well. The tank is nearly 4 years old. The only thing added in the past 6 months was a group of cherry barbs (on May 7 so nearly a month ago). They are laying on their side. Last night i added one does at around 70% (7 capful) of kordon ick...

    Dwarf Cichlid Help please

the blue one is a male there is no doubt about that; the females are smaller and look a bit different than the males. Here is a picture of one of my female borelli:

    Dwarf Cichlid Help please

Yea - i was commenting on the male that died. That one is definitely a borelli as Garry/Byron identified. The question is what species is the original female.
