I just bought a test kit. Ph 7 Ammonia: between 0 and .25 Nitrite: .25 Nitrate: between 80 and 160 Nitrate seams real high this is the first test I have ever done. What should these readings be?

Could you reccomend a good brand? I used the jungle brand. It's only been 2 days but it seams to have no affect.

The tank has been setup for about a year now. The medicine I bought says it treats fin rot. Will it most likely go through my whole tank and kill everything?
