did i spell it wrong sorry it should read cites.
i have heard a romour that the zebra plec L46/L98 may be added to the cites list of endangered specie due too the deforestation in the area on the rio xingu the fish are from.
what will probably happen is brazil will remove them from the so called 'good list'.
this is a list of fish that brazil deem ok for export as ornamental fish.
this will make these fish extremely hard to get as they will be illegal for anyone to ship them out of brazil.
there is only a few fish listed on the cites list asian arowanas being one of them and only a few others

here is the list

CLASS ACTINOPTERYGII
(FISH)
ACIPENSERIFORMES Paddlefish, sturgeons
ACIPENSERIFORMES spp. (Except the species included in Appendix I)

Hi dixon...

My girlfriend and i did 250 miles today in the hope of finding some of these little buggers :).

we got to the store - they had sold the last six they can get :(

Like you we're looking to bread them.

as you say they are pricey though and we've actually got to save up to get the 3/4 we want :(

I've PM'd you...

Wow! Those are beautiful! I've seen pictures of zebra plecos around the net, and I've always thought they were simply gorgeous! If it wasn't for the price, I'd definitely get some. :)
