Would A Synodontis Eupterus Go Into Shock

Would it die?? My LFS has some Synodontis eupterus in a african tank my previous Synodontis eupterus died after a power outage and I haven't been able to get another thats in neutral water...would it die from the shock at all??

Not is acclimatised properly.
