There has been a heat wave where I live the past couple of days and the ac is broken in my house. So the water in my tank is fluxuating from 74 degrees and 84 degrees. At arpund 10 am it was around 74 and currently it is 84 degrees and the heater has been off all day. Is it bad for the fish for the temperatures to be changing like that. We keep the tank in one of the coolest areas of the house away from any windows or direct sunlight. Hopefully next week our ac will be fixed and we wont have to deal with this problem

temp fluctuations arent good for fish... they get em stressed.. not sure what you can do :X

if the temp keeps rising you could always try adding some ice to the tank? not sure if that would help or not

if 84 is the highest it gets, i would just turn the heat up to 82 or so till you get your ac fixed, then gradually lower the temp to your desired setting once it stops fluctuating on its own.
