water surface

The surface of the water in my tank looks like it has a sort of film on it? when i blow on it, it splits but then joins back up.
whats is it? and how do i get rid of it?

i get that as well after adding plant for de clhorinator, etc, guess it just that as it dissolves?? any one more experienced confrim or deny???

It's usually caused by food. Use a paper towel to soak it up. A bit more surface movement will prevent it from happening. Don't worry, it's harmless.

i have that on my fry tank that i never emptied, so it probably has something to do with dirty and stagnent water
