I have created an Excel (2007) spreadsheet to record my Freshwater tanks water parameters.
The spreadsheet produces 'auto adjusting' graphs, this can make it a little easier to spot trends.

Please see reply below for latest update

I use it to record:
Ammonia
Nitrites
Nitrates
Water changes
Vacumn history

I also use the Excel 'comments' facility for recording things like adding fish/plants etc. Just hover over a cell which has a small red triangle in the top right hand corner.

I do not monitor Ph as mine remains constant, although I could add this if you wish.

I have uploaded it to Mediafire for anyone who may be interested.

I hope it of use to you.

N.B. Excel 2007 has the .xlsx file extension. However, the file will still load into Excel 2003 (in compatability mode) & will still work.

Nice work Clive. It's nice, watching the various spreadsheets and techniques people come up with and variations help to give one ideas. WD

Hi, again

Please see reply below for the latest update (now version 4)

Hi all

I have completed a major update to my water parameters spreadsheet (now version 4)

The functions are now as follows:

Home page
Water parameters (now with the option for recording GH, KH, Fe & CO2)
Tank details
Tank maintenance
Disease database
Calculator (now with the choice to input in either imperial or metric & the ability to calculate Volume, Weight & stocking level.
Output is both imperial & metric)
Compatibility guide
Notes (calendar & other notes sections)
New menu structure with the ability to save & backup from each page

Important
The spreadsheet has been created using Visual Basic, in order to use it, you must enable Macros when asked

The file is on Mediafire here:

My Aquarium V4

For those users of Microsoft Office XP and 2003 Excel, here is the xls file:
(Remember, xls files are much larger than xlsx or xlsm files)

My Aquarium xls file

Alternatively there is a 'Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats' available here:
(This of course will allow you to open and use the much smaller xlsx and xlsm files)

Clive, I came across your calculator after is was referenced by another member in their posting.

I had designed my own spreadsheet but yours is absolutely brilliant - thanks for sharing, really appreciated.

I'll be discarding my own version, and teaching my daughter how to use this excellent resource.

I LOVE your spreadsheet - I do however have one small problem .... is it possible to have more than 1 tank in each file or do I have to make a file for each tank?

This thread is 10 years old now, and the OP who made the spreadsheet hasn't been on this forum since 2011 so I'm not sure you'll get any answers?
