Hello folks

I've got a cold water tank with one goldfish in it, he's 7. We're going to put some rocks from the beach in it, but are worried about them being safe. Is there a way that we can get the salt out of them? 'Coz rocks are permeable aren't they?

Jack's been alone for 5 years now, after his friend died. What are your thoughts on getting some company for him? Its a 48" tank so theres plenty of room, but we're worried about how Jack will react after being alone for so long.

One more thing, some of his scales, only 2 or 3 of them, have gone silver. Is this something to worry about?

Thanks in advance!!!

Just look up treating rocks, you should be able to put the rocks in there if you treat them right.

I've used agates from the Oregon coast in my aquarium before, looked pretty cool but now I go for a more natural effect.

As for company for Jack, look into some other cold water fish. I had some White Cloud Minnows that i believe are coldwater. Maybe you could get a school of them... 10 or 15.

Think that would work?
