I'v been looking at these two fish recently and was just wondering if any one here has kept any of them. i read that they both grow to aroung 24". lots of sites say different but most sites say 24". are they agressive etc

As I remember it, the brachyplatystoma jurense is like most Shovelnoses, relativly peaceful but will eat the smaller fishes they reach max size of 24". The perrunichthys perruno or Reticulated Pimelodid is abit more terriotoral with other bottom dwellers but providing they can stick up for themselves it should be fine, they have been known to reach 36" but between 22" and 26" is more likely in captivity.

£25 for the p. perruno and £40 for the b. jurense and I'm getting them after some more reserch and when I get all my new tanks up and running.

Jammy git :p I was looking for a jurense for ages but never found them, lovely cheap alternative to the tigrinus, good prices on both fish.
