new gourami

im thinking about getting a gourami to put in my 15g(uk) tank can i just have one or will it get lonely and can i have 2 females togheter or 2 males cos i dont want fry?

You could get a pair or two females, they are easy to breed, but they probably wont do it on there own.

What will the tank be like? Will the watert be calm? Will it have plants that reach the surface? What other tank mates?

If they breed in a cimmunity tank it's unlikley the eggs/fry would last if there are other fish in the tank
