My syno getting too big!!

My syno catfish was only an inch in size when i bought him about 5 months ago. Now he is about 6inches!!!

Will he get much bigger than this??

Also i think hes getting way too big for my 12 gallon....i was thinking of passing him on to a neighbour who has a much larger tank....good idea or not???

What type of Syno. If it is a Syno. Niger then pass it on. A 3 foot Synodontis Niger would not be able to survive in a 12 gallon. Tell us all about it and what it looks like and have a look on Planet Catfish and in the Cat-eLog go for scientific names and have a look at all synos.

Its a synodontis decorus thats all i know about it. I just looked on planet catfish and it says it grows to around 10 inches.

Think i will donate him to my neighbours tank before he gets too big

no synodontis gets to 3'. I think you mean oxydoras (formaly pseudodoras) niger? which is a species of armoured catfish.
