Ok so I replaced Zippy today. The LFS was cool about it, tested my water for free and refunded the fish. I picked up some Melafix to add tot he tank before I put in my new guy/gal, and on the back it sais remove activated carbon from filter if necessary.
I have a penguin BIO wheel filter, what do I do before adding it? Are they talking about taking out the filter pad? If so, when should I put it back in? Should I turn the filter off?
