I went and bought some Arcadia T5 light fittings, then realised I could only get marine bulbs (Marine White) for them. Have them in my tank at the moment, but my plants don't seem that green and glossy (altho lots of algae on them), are the bulbs any good for a planted tank, or should I chuck 'em and try and find some T5 plant bulbs?

Would appreciate any advice.

Sarah

all I know of those lights is this

but if its one of those lights it would be GREAT..

if you want to add to you tank you could add a warmer white ( 4000K - 5000K ) to have a even amount of blues and reds added..

Arcadia have recently produced a t5 tube for freshwater tanks
this would be better
