Marigolds

i have some window baskets with marigolds in.

they flowered....died...then i dead headed them....i am now left with 'sticks' the remains of the marigold, what do i do now?

do i pull them out and throw them, cut them right down or what???

it looks a mess,looks like ive planted a few sticks in there!

please help!!

I don't know anything about it, but this article says they are annuals and even indoors won't make it through the winter.

pull them out and put some nice winter pansies in

pick off the dead flowers and put them in a paper bag this will give you seeds for nxt year then throw the plant on the compost bin they are annuals so they will not come back nxt year

pull them out and get some pansies. and plant some sweet peas for the spring

novembers pushing it to grow sweet peas besides they only flower around 3/4 weeks earlier than seed sown in the spring

yeah ur right and u need a cold frame. but IME they have longer flowering periods

yeah they will flower for longer through the season as long as you keep picking the flowers
im raising the perrenial sweet pea at the moment so i wont have to bother every year no scent but hey lol
