Hi everyone! I need to medicate my tank with metronidazole. I am planning on combining this treatment with elevated temperature and epsom salt added to the aquarium (as recommended to me in the Emergency Med forum) for about 3 days. I would like to know how high I can raise the temperature with Killifish Striatum in the tank? I also have 4 Diamond Tetras and 3 Pearl Gouramis (in a 37 gallon tank). I did some research and found that Killifish are fine with 80 degrees. Can I go any higher than this? I'm supposed to get as close to 98.6 degrees as possible (for the Metronidazole to be most effective). Also, is it ok for me to raise the temp one degree per hour, or is this too fast? Right now, my tank is at 78 degrees. Thank you in advance for your advice!

First things first please explain to me why and what are the reasons are for medicating your tank.
