Could a female betta live with a keyhole cichlid?

Could a female betta live with a group of keyholes?

Tank size would be important. A male couldn't, but a female might. The tank would have to be at least 36 inches along the front, as deep. Planting would be essential.

Keyholes can do well in groups until they pair off. Once they pair, like all open spawning Cichlids, you are best to keep just the pair and rehome the others.

Thanks for a complete answer.

Don't believe everything that article says.

Platies, guppies and especially molllies are hard water fish wile bettas are soft water fish.
Glass catfish are timid fish which would not do well with potentially aggressive fish like female bettas.
African dwarf frogs should not be kept with any fish.

I would also not keep tiny fish like chili rasboras with larger fish as they are timid and would probably spend their time in fear living with fish like bettas.

Female bettas are still bettas and can be as aggressive as males.
