I want to grow a tree out of an aquarium...

I’m in the process of setting up a couple aquariums for breeding the tilapia… I think I’m going to put 2 olive trees in the top aquarium, where there is space to let them grow ( that room has a vaulted ceiling) In the back corners ( 65 gallon on the bottom, 45 gallon on top) both with just sponge filters to start… both will have other house plants as part of the filtering… I may need to hang a hang on tank filter on the aquarium that houses the breeder fish during non breeding times

It seems like most species have an ideal hardness and temperature range, but some species and probably some individuals are more adaptable than others.

They talk about it… usually effecting their kidneys or something… and that could be the “sudden death” of a fish that appears to be doing well… I worry about that with my Cory’s

Most of my tanks are, or were pretty well stocked… some now nearly empty… but I put off buying anything right now
