for a tank thats 80cm in length and 30 in width, how many kilos of sand do u reckon i will need?

32.6 Pounds / 14.78 Kilograms will give you a 1.5" bed of sand
and it will displace 2.45 US Gallons / 9.27 Liters

How much planting are you going for? If not for any plants that root in the substrate, a 1cm layer will be fine.
