How do you ship plants through the mail? Are they kept in water? Just curious

Not sure how the seller will do it but usually plants are shipping in wet newspaper. Or at least the plants I've bought have been.

Typical is wet newspaper with a tiny bit of water all put into a large ziplock bag. Usually double bagged in case the ziplock leaks.
