Waterdrop - Yes, I only dosed to the 2ppm level during the Nitrite spike stage, once it dropped back to zero the dose was increased upto the 4ppm level.

Morning all,

I haven't been posting due to the fact that there hasn't been anything to report really.

Day 33 to Day 38 has all been the same old story:

pH 8.0 - Stable at this figure.
Ammonia 0ppm - Dosing at the 24hr mark and testing at the 12hr to ensure the Ammonia is being processed.
Nitrites 0ppm - When tested at the 24hr mark, still at the 0.5ppm when testing at the 12hr
Nitrates 80ppm - No change in colour and a definite match against the chart.

I will just have to play the waiting game I suppose and learn some patience!

I had a similar situation with my cycling.
The nitrites hung around at a similar level and then shot back up to 2pmm. I could not be sure of the exact level of nitrates so did a 99% water change on day 39 and the got first set of double zeros on day 44 at 12hrs.
