Deformity Or Not? Albino Bristlenose

I've had this little fellow for maybe three months but I've always been worried about his back / spine. He's always had this bendy thing going on.

As you can see in the picture, it's bent and it's like this for a lot of the time, especially when he's still and it does seem to straighten out when he's busy doing his thing around the tank.

I did read a small paragraph somewhere online that mentioned they have the ability to bend themselves as some form of defence mechanism but as I've not been able to find anything else to back it up I'm not sure I believe it.

He seems to be quite happy in the tank and would love to finally know if this is normal or is this something I should be concerned about?

Definitely a deformity of some kind, and certainly not normal.

There's not going to be anything you can do for the little chap though, I'm afraid.

Thanks for clearing that up, poor thing but he seems happy enough in the tank. I'll just continue to keep a close eye on him.
