What kind of CO2 system do you have.

i'll vote other as I have both.. If your thinking of setting up a compressed CO2 injection, it will not be worth all the money if you dont include the automatic PH/CO2 controller and shutoff valve.

then I would recomend a DIY yeast setup..

I use DIY CO2 - it produces loads of CO2 for the money it costs, compared to cylinders.

I use the yeast CO2. does the CO2 permantetly effect the Ph of the water.

I have been running pressurized co2 on one tank for 2.5 years nopw without pH controller. grabted I run a lower level of co2 than most, but it has worked fine. I disperse the co2 buy running it through the Eheim canister on the tank.

My pressurized system may have cost more to set up than diy, but it is constant, reliable, not messy contrallable and costs me 10$ every 14 months for the refill.

Basically, diy works best on smaller tanks but once you get over about 30 US gals, bottled is a better and better choice.
