CO2 and Ph

Sorry, this is probably a question i should know the answer to.... but i don't

If I add CO2 to my tank, is this likely to raise or lower the Ph? Because my Ph is already waaaAAAAYYYYY too high and I don't want to give it the slightest excuse to get higher.

CO2 will lower the PH. How much depends on how much CO2 you add to the tank.

also depends on the size of the tank you're adding the pH to, the smaller the greater drop...
