I currently have an african cichlid with a bunch of barbs and some danios in a 20 Gallon tank. The cichlid will leave the other fish alone giving the occasional chase. Will cories get picked on in this enviornment?

What is the scientific name of the African cichlid you have?

I've got African cichlids and I wouldn't put a cory in with mine - I have one (latin name painisinthebuttis :p ) that tries to bite me and the syphon everytime I clean the tank. Actually he's an auloncara tricolour - not the biggest in the tank, but definitely "the boss". Most African cichlids are quite aggresive, especially the mbuna and my "clean up crew" in the tank are a large plec and a synodontis euruptis (sp?)

I wish I knew what it is. I got it out of the assorted african cichlid tank. It looks like a red zebra but im not sure.

I had 1 lone cory in with 11 Africans (75 G) and I had to rescue him. He nearly had his entire tail ripped off. Prob not a good idea.
