I have 4 bloodfin tetras and i got them recently and they keep hiding behind plants in a school and are kind of scared is this how they usually act or do i need to make the school bigger. Also they do not come to feed with the rest of the community tank. I have platys, a gromie, corys, danios and a pleco in the tank.

Most Tetras should be in groups of 6 or more. I have ember, neon and red eye tetras and they feel safer in numbers. They like to hide in plants and stay in groups. I have corys in my tank with no problem. It may take time for them to get use to the new tank. When I first added my tetras they stayed in the shoals. Even when the tank was empty and they were alone my Red Eye tetras stayed together. I was doing a silent cycle so I add a group at a time and they all acted the same way.
