Betta fish

Hi I am new to fish keeping got some female bettas from my local pet store. But i am not sure if this is a female betta. He/she is really aggressive towards the other female bettas. I also noticed that his fins are larger than the other bettas. Hope the pictures are clear.

Looks like a male to me. you need to find him a new home.

I would say that one is a male. Can you see an egg spot on the underside? It usually looks like a little white spot.

It is really difficult to see but i think the betta has a white spot. But I think that i 'll have to bring him/her back to the pet store. It nips at the fins of the other fish

Hold a mirror in front of the betta. If it flares, look at the gills. A female's gills will stick out at the sides only; a male's gills will stick out at the sides and under his head so it looks like a beard.
