So I set up my own co2 system about a month 1/2 ago and decided to try new things....

I tried to make my own external co2 diffuser but the pressure was too high to get any bubbles in...especially if your using the diy co2 factory. Eventually (after ALOT of adjustments) I get it to work. I moved the co2 tube to the intake of the powerhead that way the bubbles would be sucked up and pushed through the external diffuser.

Eventually I'll fill the tube with bio balls or something of the like.

I've got three co2 factories that way i'll ALWAYS have co2 running. I'm also gonna attach the one way thingies (cant remeber what theyre called....wow) to make sure all the co2 is pushed into the system and not into another bottle.

The black tube is the co2 intake. I had to angle the powerhead so the bubbles were sucked into the impeller. The small clear tube coming out of the side of the output is also attached to the diffuser. It simply made sure the bubbles were caught. It also (in a way) kinda recirculates the bubbles. The small tube on the left of the pic is the output.

The tube is simply an altered gravel vac. Its filled with fluval ammonia remover (eventually I'll fill the tube with bio balls or something of the like) and a sponge to keep the rocks from going into the tank. The blue tube with the stopper on the end was where I had the co2 input, but, like I said, too much pressure. The small tube coming out the side is simply the small tube you saw on the output of the powerhead.
