right im looking for some loaches.
i already have 2 clown loaches but i would like to take one back if this works out.
1 Yoyo Loach
1 Zebra Botia (if i can get hold of one)
1 Clown Loach
1 Angelicus Botia
1 Orange Finned Loach/Blue Loach (or Sun Loach or maybe both)

would these get together like clown loaches do when they're in a group or would they all cause conflict?

I've seen clown loaches get along and swim with lots of other types of fish and other loaches... but when you see a group of clown loaches together (provided you have the room), they are so much more playful.

Personally, I would stick with one or two groups of 3-6+. If you only have room 5 smaller loaches total, I would make it 5 angelicus loaches.

Also, I have seen botia modesta (red fin loaches) by themselves and they get pretty aggressive. Not good.

Ideally given the space you would be better off either adding to the clowns or deciding which loach you want and getting a group of them, all loaches do better in specific groups rather than small groups of single fish.

I would certainly steer clear of Sun Loach (Botia Eos) they are very aggressive and best kept in a large tank with other B. Eos and other aggressive loaches, also single Orange finned loaches (Botia Modesta) can be rather to aggressive for Clowns.

Loaches like company, so I think they would all hang out. I have seen zebra loaches at the petquarters in my area. Petquarters stocks the best fish. Always fish that you would definatly not see at petco. They have a pretty big fish area. :)

Oh and I love yoyo loaches, you should definatly get some you will not regret it. You will love watching them swim around.

Loaches should not be kept in singles. In fact the bigger the group of any one you can do, the better.

Clowns grow large- longer term a 55 will not be enough for them.

Yoyos can get a tad nasty as they grow- I outed my 4 when they began bothering the angels.
